Most everyone who loves eating pizza can agree that there are many different flavors and combinations of items to be added to this delicious circle of goodness. We can also agree that not every pizza is equal nor is every pizza restaurant worthy of getting a person's business. Yes pizza can be as different as the people who love to eat them, and massage can be viewed in the same way.
Getting a massage can be just like enjoying a pizza. Sometimes you must first try a few massage therapists to find the one that is the best fit for you. You may choose your favorite therapist just like you would pizza because of location, price or if you are like me, consistency and quality.
Have you every searched and found your favorite pizza place only to go back a second, third or fourth time to find that the pizza you ordered wasn't as good as your last visit? Well the same has happened to me when I have gone to a regular massage therapist for a repeat visit. As I anticipated another great massage just like the last, the therapist does something different, leaves out the favorite strokes or techniques that I raved about to my friends or just didn't seem to be connected to the entire session. I left feeling unsatisfied and wondering if I should ever return or search out another one altogether.
That is why I try to be very consistent with my clients when they come to see me. I want to give them the same massage that they received the first time they came to see me and made them want to come back. I try very hard to stay connected and in the moment of each massage session and allow the flow of energy to travel through the both of us as I move around the table.
Sure, there are times when a client comes in and has a specific need that I need to focus on for a particular session or they may want me to try a different modality or technique, but just as a person may choose to order different toppings on their favorite pizza from time to time, the basic foundation of my massage is always consistent and top quality.
Even if I have a client come to me who is visiting from out of town I always give them the best massage I possible can. Though they may never return as a client again they will always remember the massage that I gave and may recommend me to others. And once I get someone on my massage table for the first time I have over 90% return rate of clientele. I feel I owe this to the quality product that I deliver each and every time.
